It’s no secret: MGM Resorts hotels will start charging to park at its Las Vegas Strip properties real soon. Fees for parking begin June 6 and will be fully implemented by June 13. This fee applies to registered MGM Resorts hotel guests, as well as anyone else visiting with certain exceptions (more on those later). Here’s everything you need to know so you’re prepared for your next trip:
The self-parking fee applies to every MGM Resorts hotel except Circus Circus and Signature.
This includes MGM Grand (as well as The Skylofts at MGM Grand),Mandalay Bay, Delano, Luxor, Excalibur, New York – New York, Monte Carlo, Aria, Vdara, Bellagio and Mirage.
There is also going to be a valet fee (we’ll get into that later).
Bellagio and New York-New York will be the first two properties to reopen, potentially in June, and others will follow later in the year. At the time those resorts closed in mid-March, Bellagio was. New York-New York Hotel & Casino Eco-friendly Las Vegas resort in Las Vegas Strip, walk to Park Theater 13 restaurants, a casino, and an outdoor pool are available at this resort. Self parking is free. Resorts Casino Hotel Self Parking Garage. 8 min to destination. Tropicana Atlantic City is located on the famed Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. These parking fees are just around the corner. Here’s the breakdown:
June 6: Aria, Vdara, Bellagio, Monte Carlo and New York-New York
June 7: Excalibur and Luxor (for Circus-Circus, it’s valet only)

June 13: Mandalay Bay and Delano
Hotel guests can use their room key across multiple MGM Resorts properties to access parking.
The parking fee gives you in-out privileges within the same parking type (self or valet) across all MGM Resorts hotels. If you’re a registered hotel guest, you’ll pay and then use your room key for access at all resorts.
Do not lose your parking ticket.
If you’re not staying in an MGM Resorts hotel, you won’t have convenience of flashing your room key. That being said, keep your ticket in a safe place. If you happen to lose your ticket, the staff will try and determine how long you were parked on property. In the case they can’t, you’ll be charged with a lost ticket parking fee of $30.
Self-parking fees vary by property and length of stay.
If you’re staying or visiting Luxor, Excalibur and Monte Carlo, it’s $5 (one to four hours) and $8 (four to 24 hours). Parking is $8 each additional day. For MGM Grand and Skylofts, Mandalay Bay and Delano, New York-New York, Aria, Bellagio and The Mirage, it’s $7 (one to four hours) and $10 (four to 24 hours). Parking is $10 each additional day. If you’re a guest, you can also charge the parking fees to your room bill.
There are still ways to self-park for free.
If you’re visiting a hotel for less than an hour, it’s free. You can also self-park for free if you’re an M Life Rewards member with Pearl status or higher and valet for free if you are an M Life Rewards member with Gold status or higher. Locals are getting a temporary reprieve (more on that later).
Circus-Circus waives its self-parking fee.
If you’re staying at this hotel, you won’t have to fork over dough for self-parking. However, you’ll need to pay for valet. Additionally, if you’re traveling to other MGM Resorts properties, you’ll still have to pay the specific parking fees we mentioned earlier.
Paid parking at downtown hotels is different from MGM Resorts.
If you’re visiting downtown hotel parking garages, most registered hotel guests park free and validation is offered for other visitors if you meet certain criteria (eat in a restaurant, etc). See a complete description of parking rules by property here.
Valet parking has its own set of prices.
Valet parking will cost more than self-parking. If you’re staying at Monte Carlo, Luxor, Excalibur and Circus-Circus, it’s $13 a day. If you’re staying at Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Delano, Mirage or New York-New York, it’s $18 a day. However, if you’re only staying for part of the day, you’ll pay a reduced rate. And don’t forget: If you’re a registered MGM Resorts hotel guest, you have in-out privileges to valet at multiple properties. You won’t have to pay more than once in a 24-hour period. (Side note: Tipping valet is still proper etiquette. We’ll leave the amount to your discretion.)
If you’re a local, you won’t have to pay… yet.
Locals with a valid Nevada driver’s license can still self-park for free until Dec. 29, 2016. You’ll be prompted to scan your license upon entry. Keep in mind that complimentary self-parking is subject to availability and also doesn’t apply during special events (like a T-Mobile Arena concert). Billetterie theatre du casino lac leamy. *If you’re going to be there for a while, consider taking an Uber, Lyft, or Taxi. A lot of times it can be cheaper than what the parking would cost you and you don’t have to worry about a designated driver.
*While we aren’t going to outright advocate this, you can always ’park next door’ at a casino that does not charge for parking. The reason we aren’t gung ho about this is we don’t want to ever hurt the casinos that are being nice to locals by taking up their free parking space and giving our business to their neighbors.
*Check and see if the casino does any sort of parking validation. A lot of times they will give you free parking if you spend a certain amount of money inside, are a guest (on a staycation) or are a certain tier level among their rewards program. Remember, it never hurts to ask.
*If you have to bite the bullet, car pool if you’ve got a bunch of friends and you can split the cost. $20 four or five ways is much easier to swallow than $20 one way.Parking on the Vegas strip used to be free everywhere!

We have some more tips on parking! You can save some money when it comes to parking on the Strip.Cheap Parking New York
*If you’re going to be there for a while, consider taking an Uber, Lyft, or Taxi. A lot of times it can be cheaper than what the parking would cost you and you don’t have to worry about a designated driver.
*While we aren’t going to outright advocate this, you can always ’park next door’ at a casino that does not charge for parking. The reason we aren’t gung ho about this is we don’t want to ever hurt the casinos that are being nice to locals by taking up their free parking space and giving our business to their neighbors.
*Check and see if the casino does any sort of parking validation. A lot of times they will give you free parking if you spend a certain amount of money inside, are a guest (on a staycation) or are a certain tier level among their rewards program. Remember, it never hurts to ask.
*If you have to bite the bullet, car pool if you’ve got a bunch of friends and you can split the cost. $20 four or five ways is much easier to swallow than $20 one way.Parking on the Vegas strip used to be free everywhere!
As if the casinos aren’t getting enough of our money when we gamble, go to shows, or eat in the restaurants, they want more of it now. Most casinos on the strip now have some form of charge for parking. Some casinos on the strip are allowing locals to park for free still, though, there usually is a time limit on that ( < 24 hours).
Normally, we would list all of the casinos in alphabetical order and give you all of the parking details like a few other sites do. However, since this site is dedicated to serving Las Vegas locals, we’re going to separate out the casinos that offer some form of free parking first and then follow up with the ones that are charging regardless.In the Casinos defense..Parking In New York City
The casinos have claimed that the move to charge for parking is not directed at solely a money grab. The casinos have integrated some systems to help you find spots easier (the little lights that float over the spots that turn red when the spot is taken) and have made a few other improvements that they say are ’what you’re paying for now’. We will reserve our judgment on whether or not we agree with the practice for locals, but let’s just say we are definitely biting our tongues.
